Kildrummy Castle |
Alford, Aberdeenshire |
Set in the heart of the Grampian Highlands, overlooking the ruins of the original 13th century castle, Kildrummy Castle Hotel offers a rare opportunity to enjoy the style and elegance of a bygone era combined with all the comforts and service of a modern, first class hotel. Kildrummy is, however, firstly a Scottish country house, where we hope you will enjoy a uniquely Scottish experience. |
Log fires and full central heating ensure a warm and comfortable stay throughout the year. The hotel has 16 rooms all with private bathroom, and
each equipped with colour television, radio, tea making facilities, hair
dryer, telephone and trouser press. All rooms are furnished to the same
high standard with the master rooms being the larger or 4 poster double
bedrooms. In upgrading the house to modern standards, care has been taken to retain the original turn of the century interior, featuring oak panelled walls and ceilings, wall tapestries, and a magnificent carved oak staircase. |
The restaurant itself enjoys a deservedly
high reputation for the quality of its food and service. Much use is made
of fresh local produce, game from nearby estates, fish and shellfish from
the North Sea and Moray Firth, and of course prime Aberdeen Angus Beef. You can complement your meal by choosing a bottle of wine - there is an extensive list of wines from all around the world. Our dining room is a no smoking area. |
All rates are inclusive of VAT at 17½ %. |
